Hello, I'm Martin Borovský

Something about me

I have a lot of experience in different situations as a technician from building corporation from end user solutions (local infrastructures) through server administration (Microsoft platforms) to manage cloud solutions on VMware technology. I have also experiences in lead situation like mobilize team, motivating people and bring positive results.

I love big challenges and welcome big changes. I am smart, team-oriented and can get things done. My interest is to be in cooperation for the long term. I love IT and virtualization.

What is my story

Due to my interests in IT technologies since my early years, I decided to join an IT company one year after I graduate on university, in 2007. I started as Network Specialist at T-Systems, because I had Course and Certificaiton CCNA 802.1x. T-Systems in Slovakia was in that time in beginnings so we doesn`t have accesses and rights which was needed for work in global firewall network. We had to wait around half year for grand access and for possibility to work.

After few weeks (I think it was only 3) ... I found possibility to help nearby team which was called Interna IT. There was possiblity for me to implement my Network knowledge and develop my selve in Windows Server 2003, 2008 infrastructure and much more. One main thing for which I decided to help another team was possibility to help people around me. I could take care about 400 people which growed up to 4 000 by year 2013. Later I change team permanently.

There I was responsible for whole proces of emloyee support. Starts with managing corporate Microsoft domain as from server side also from people side. It contained granding access for peole, take care about whole servers, desktops, laptops, printers, user accounts and all around like administrator has to do. Another part of my work contained preparing trainings for every newcommers and make clear rules and processes from IT side. Preparation and trainings was for around 1000 people per each year in years 2007 - 2013. Company had some part of infrastructure in hardware platform and some in Virtual infrastructure. That time I hadn`t opportunity to work with Virtual part of infrastructure to depth which I wanted so this was reason for me, why I change company and went for virtualization to current company. I was participated on many project as I wrote below.

In Tieto I was responsible for 3 datacenters in Sweden, 4 datacenters in Finland and 1 datacenter in Norway totaly around 12 000 Virtual Severs. Through years in company was also time where I was responsible for build up some customer local solutions "their own datacenters" around the world.

In years 2017 & 2018 one huge project take my attention. It was closing datacenter in Finland and move it to another location. Where I was responsible for redesigning datacenter, moving one site from one location to another location on the fly of production servers, without outages of customer servers. Participating on preparation high and low level design. Responsible for preparing datacenter for moving, lead team for moving grops of physical hosts. Ad-HOC redesign of project when unexspected circumstances was done (switching HP enclosures with blades between each other because of interference of 3rd party)

In years 2018 & 2019 was necessary to build up 2 datacenters for one big customer in Sweden and Norway. This project takes my attention at all. It was really nice to have a chance to be connected with people in the project from the early beginnings.
